Remains of Ancient Song Ze Culture
崧泽古文化遗址
Song Ze Village(菘泽村) is a small village at the east of Qing Pu District. In 1958, the remains of an ancient village that existed more than 5 thousand years ago was found here. This ancient culture was named "Ancient Song Ze Culture".
Shanghai Art Museum

The new Shanghai Art Museum was once a clubhouse in the 1930s for old Shanghai's sports groups, including the Shanghai Race Club. The beautifully restored building alone is the reason enough for visiting it. It is so fabulous from the majestic view of the building (outside) to the regal looking decor (inside).The top floor restaurant boasts great views of the square.
Qing Pu Museum
青浦博物馆
Although Qing Pu District is now just a suburban area of Shanghai, it was one of the few places where human had lived more than six thousand years ago. This area has seen different ancient cultures like Ma Jia Bang(马家浜), Song Ze(菘泽), Liang Zhu(良渚), Ma Qiao(马桥). Qing Pu Museum is a very good museum where lots of archeological findings of these cultures are kept. There are also a lot of jade and ceramics in the museum.
