Yu Garden 
豫园
Yu Garden has a history of more than 440 years. It is the biggest Jiang Nan Style Garden(江南园林) in Shanghai. It is so much full of Chinese traditions that it is famous across the world. It has been visited by numerous Chinese and foreign including British Queen Elizabeth II, Former American President Bill Clinton, Former Japan Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, Former German President Roman Herzog.
Shanghai Film Shooting Base

Shanghai Film Shooting Base is a theme park aimed at reproducing what Shanghai looked like during the beginning of 20th century. It was built by Shanghai Film Group Corpration so it has been a base where quite a few movies were shot. You can find: "Nanjing Road in the 30's","Shanghai traditional houses", "Downtown Shanghai in old times", "European style architecture", "Su Zhou Creek", "Church", "Peace Plaza", "Old Shanghai bridge", "Lake and mountain area", etc in the park.
Da Guan Garden 
大观园
One of the top achievements of traditional Chinese literature is the novel "The Dream of The Red Chamber"(红楼梦), which was written in Qing Dynasty(清朝). Da Guan Garden was built in honor of this famous novel more than 20 years ago. The way it was built strictly followed what was described in the novel. It is a beautiful Jiang Nan Style Garden(江南园林). The novel however makes it quite unique.
Century Park
世纪公园
Century Park is the biggest park in the inner ring road(内环线). There is a lake at the center of the park, and other attractions like bird island, music square, flower gardens. They also provide bicyble and boating services. A wonderful place to go for a break of busy city life.
Dino Beach
热带风暴水上乐园
Dino Beach is the only aquatic theme park in Shanghai. During summer, it is the best place to go where you can throw yourself in the water and enjoy the fun from the numerous entertainment facilities in the park. Lots of them are quite exciting. And also there are a lot of facilities for children and your kids will definitely love them.
Gong Qing Forest Park
共青森林公园
Many people think that Gong Qing Forest Park is the most beautiful park in Shanghai. It used to be a tree nursery. Some new parks like Century Park(世纪公园) or Gao Qiao Bin Jiang Forest Park(高桥滨江森林公园) have matched or even exceeded the size of this park. But they just can not match the beauty of Gong Qing Forest Park.
Madame Tussauds
杜莎夫人蜡像馆
This is one of the seven Madame Tussauds in the world. The other six are in London, Amsterdan, New York, Las Vegas, Washingdon DC and Hong Kong. It is an exhibition of waxwork of a lot of celebrities. There are more than 70 figures in the Shanghai site.
Jin Jiang Amusement Park
锦江乐园
Jin Jiang Amusement Park(锦江乐园) is the oldest, with more than 20 years of history, and still the best amusement park in Shanghai. It has the only roller coaster in urban Shanghai, and a lot of other interesting facilities, including the classic pirate ship, Super Swing, Brave's Swirl and etc.
SSS Indoor Skiing Site
银七星室内滑雪场
SSS Indoor Skiing Site is a huge skiing site, and is also the only place in Shanghai to enjoy skiing. There is a lane 380 meters long and 80 meters wide where more than a thousand persons can ski at the same time. The snow is 50 centimeters thick and feels exactly like natural snow. The temperature is constantly kept at -2C. There are three levels that can be used on the slope: 17, 15 and 12 degrees. You can try the slope according to your ski skill. Overall, it is a decent skiing site.
Shanghai Ocean Aquarium
上海海洋水族馆
Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is the biggest Aquarium in Asia. Within it, there are more than 14,000 precious rare creatures of more than 300 kinds from everywhere of the world. Although it is named Ocean Aquarium, there are also a lot of river fish here, including some China rare uniques like giant salamander, Yangtze Crocodile, etc.
Shanghai Zoo

This zoo used to be called Xi Jiao Park(西郊公园). In 1980 it was renamed to Shanghai Zoo. It sits right next to Hong Qiao Airport(虹桥机场). It has been a paradise for local people, especially kids for a long long time. There are a lot of rare Chinese animals in the zoo, as well as lots of animals from all over the world. Shanghai is the residence or passage for a large quantity of birds. So there are also a lot of birds in the zoo.
Shanghai Wild Animal Park (上海野生动物园)

Shanghai Wild Animal Park is the largest wild animal park in China. There are more than ten thousand animals of over 200 kinds in the park. You can walk in most areas of the park. But there is an area where you have to take a car or bus to go in. There are lots of wild dangerous animals here such as tigers, lions, bears, etc. Of course you will be quite safe in the car.
Wusongkou Paotaiwan Wetland Park
吴淞口炮台湾湿地森林公园
Wusongkou Paotaiwan Wetland Park is the first wetland park in Shanghai. The park is located at the joint of Yangtze River(长江) and Huang Pu River(黄浦江). Due to its special position, this place was a military base in Qing Dynasty(清朝). There are still some relics of the military base in the park now, making the park look quite special.
Gao Qiao Bin Jiang Forest Park
高桥滨江森林公园
Gao Qiao Bin Jiang Forest Park is a new wetland park in Shanghai. It is a huge park. The current area open to public is already larger than Century Park(世纪公园). However, there is a larger area that is under construction and will be open to public soon.
