Gu Lao Pork with Pineapple is quite popular in China. The cooking of this dish does not require so much skill as other dishes like Xiao Long Bao Zi(小笼包子), which requires a lot of skills to make it good. So the dish can be found in a lot of restaurants but few of them could make it taste ba!

The dish consists of a lot of Sweet and Sour small Pork cubes. The pork has better be Wu Hua Pork(五花肉), which should be from Belly pork, consisting of several interleaving layers of fat and muscule. Cut the pork into small cubes, coat the cubes with a thin layer of flour and egg. Then the cubes should first be deep fried to half cooked, taken out of the wok, and then stir-fried along with pine apples and a lot of flavorings including tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar.
