Malfunctions, Delays, and even death, another messy morning at Shanghai Metro system

This year Shanghai metro system has seen quite a bit trouble. It's now the end of the year, and it seems trouble has not stopped coming yet. As early as 6am today, the epic "signal system malfunction" hit line 9, causing the whole line to be running
irregularly. The interval between trains were at least 10 minutes instead of usual 4~5 minutes. At many stations, people were having difficulties getting on the trains and started complaining.

Unfortunately line 9 was not the only line that had problems today. Around 6:40am, at the Hang Jin Road Station of Line 6, a woman of about 30 years old somehow dropped from the platform when the train was arriving. people heard screams and she
died shortly after that. Whether it was suicide or any other reason, it is still unknown yet. Affected by the accident, line 6 also suffered from delays and longer intervals between trains. And it did not recover until after 7am.

And these were not all the issues yet. At about 8:45am, a train of line 9 at Middle Yang Gao Road station actually stopped working totally (more than signal system!). Taking care of it took about 25 minutes, and lots of people got stuck at the station.
At about the same time in the other direction, since Da Pu Road Station, a train skipped 3 stations without noticing the passengers at all, and did not stop until Shang Cheng Road. You could imagine that lots of people would be confused and angry
when getting our of the train.

The above picture showed the status of the metro system around 9am. See how many yellow dots there were!

After the rush hour, the whole metro system finally went back to normal. Life goes on for most poeple in Shanghai except one. The question is, after seeing all these issues, should people who often take metro start getting worried. Certainly nobody
would want to experience what happened at line 10 back in September.
