According to their data from the year 2010, there are 208.3 thousand people living in Shanghai are from outside of mainland China. And 68.7% of them are foreigners. The number would 143 thousand.

If you have come across my article on the word "laowai", you probably know that I actually think "laowai" are foreigners who look different from Chinese. However, the data from Shanghai government did not include numbers like this.

-- Average age of foreigners: 33.33. (Oops!)
-- 55.9%. Foreigners between 30 and 59.
-- 54.2% of foreigners are single.
