Nan Pu Bridge(南浦大桥) was the first bridge on the Huang Pu River(黄浦江). It was done in 1991. The whole length of this bridge is 8364 meters, with the main part 423 meters long, 46 meters above the water. There are 6 lanes on the main part. The bridge winds down to the ground both in Pu Dong(浦东) and Pu Xi(浦西). The winding parts make the bridge look very beautiful.

Nan Pu Bridge connects Tang Qiao(塘桥) area in Pu Dong(浦东) and Yu Garden(豫园) Area in Pu Xi(浦西). It is an importang part of the inner ring road. So the traffic is quite heavy during the peak hours.
